2 June - Some Unforeseen Eventualities
Evening of work
by The Five Andrews at The Place, London. Sicut, Sprue and Mem. remake.
'In a rare and eagerly-imagined event The Five Andrews presented
an evening of work encapsulating the delightedness of their hypothetical lemonly
realm.'
We selected for this occasion two of our sporadic, ritual-like and perplexing
performances, Sicut and Mem. ; the one inspired
by body fluids bile and lymph, the other by a cyclical absence.

2 October - Some Unforeseen Shopping
Part of Chisenhale Dance Space 21st birthday gala.
Four 2 min solos dispersed throughout the evening from 8pm. Each solo is taken
from earlier works Vessel, Corps, Sicut and Mem. and
is accompanied by a recording made in a different high street clothes store by
soundscape artist

with theirs.
Don't forget to put your name on it.
We can't be held responsible if you go home with someone else's.'
In this 25 minute presentation The Five Andrews describe key ideas that have
informed their work over the last 16 years which they had, at the time, the good
judgment to bin.

Sometimes it's right to take a back seat and clear some space
to support and encourage newcomers in our highly competitive lemonly
realm,
proportionately
balanced with our time-tested methods for subverting the success of any likely-looking
upstarts.
Members of The Five Andrews also appeared in choreographer
Kate Brown's retrospective at Toynbee Hall.
2010
